If you see a banjo you like feel free to contact us about ordering a replica or we can work off of previous design to create something new. We are happy to mix and match features from our previous builds or explore other options not listed here.

Here's a little tune is called Ways of the World- This is the last video of Rosamund in Eden's belly! We recorded this video just a few days before we went to the hospital. We'll be taking a little break from building banjos to get to know our girl, so don't be surprised if you don't hear from us for a bit.

Here's one of my favorite tunes- Coleman's March Played in Double C tuning, I teach an easy and a hard version of this tune on my 2018 lessons. This banjo has some of the most gorgeous and figured Birdseye Maple we had ever seen, so we paired it with a 12" black lacquered pot with a Whyte Laydie tone ring and a calf skin head.

This fun tune is called Happy Hollow- We played this tune minutes before I walked out the door and hit the road for Nashville Clawhammer Camp. What an incredible time and group of people! This banjo was the replacement for the stolen Fern banjo, it unfortunately never made it's way back home to it's owner so we built her a new one.

Got a quick video of Tommy Jarrell's Sail Away Ladies the other day before sending this banjo off to it's new home. Fun & weird little tune! Cherry & Rosewood banjo with a 12" Dobson tone ring - this banjo didn't need any inlay with all of it's figured rosewood swirls.

It was a windy and chilly day here in Mountain View and we sat by the fire and played a Marcus Martin tune (Sandy River) on a fresh banjo. Here's a link to the field recording of Marcus playing it https://www.slippery-hill.com/recording/sandy-river For those interested, this banjo is an 11" Maple Dobson.

Playing a little tune called Angeline the Baker on a banjo we finished. This one is Flamed Maple with a 12" Whyte Laydie tone ring, renaissance head, and Buckeye Banjos tailpiece. The customer had a really cool idea for the inlay, the life cycle of the mayfly.

It's engraved by Rod Stark. Rod also made and engraved Eden's engagement ring, so it's very special to us when we get to use him for our projects.

Just finished this 12" Dobson and flamed maple banjo. It was a really fun build. Jessica wanted a very earthy banjo with natural woods, skin head, and a fossilized ammonite inlay. We decided to put a really fossil in the headstock with some silver leaf behind to catch the light up close.

Eden and I are starting off our 2017 fiddle and banjo lesson pages teaching this version of Doc Watson's Bonaparte's Retreat! Eden is going to be joining me this year doing a fiddle lesson subscription. We think Banjo and Fiddle are meant to be played together, so we decided that each month we would teach one tune in common.
